HOW THE SWING SQUARE SYSTEM WORKS
Swing Square teaches you how to swing correctly with the proper form, crossing over at impact. Designed to completely focus on impact, the Swing Square helps the dominant hand work with the weaker hand to perfect your timing and stay square at the point of impact with the ball.
Swing Square is to be used without a golf ball, making it ideal for practice at home, or your office cubical. No ball, no nets, no high-speed camera needed to use this easy, simple tool. Before you start a round or a tournament, snap the Swing Square on to your 7 iron and square up. Even if you rotate your hips for torque or press your hand forward, your clubface still needs to be square at impact. Adding the Swing Square to your practice regimen helps ensure your clubface is square for straighter, longer shots.
Please note: to avoid injury and damage, never complete a full-force swing or hit a golf ball while the Swing Square is attached to the golf club. In order to have the correct lie angle, the Swing Square was manufactured for a standard steel shaft 7 iron only. Not compatible with graphite shaft clubs.
1
Snap the Swing Square onto the 7 iron, 2–4 inches from the hosel (where the shaft meets the club head). Adjust the Swing Square so that the rod is in line with the face of the golf club, straight and pointing at the golfer, parallel with the ground.
2
Start your swing, stopping at the hip with no back swing. Check to see where the Swing Square is pointing. It should be pointing straight down toward the ground. If it isn’t you need to adjust your clubface to be toe up.
3
Continue your swing, but note that your dominant hand should be pushing through impact for straight and longer shots. The Swing Square needs to be pointing at you. Your hands need to cross over to get a powerful and straight shot down. The tip of the Swing Square will stand still when the face of the club is going through the ball. This means the club face is square on impact with the ball.
4
Continue the swing through the ball, stopping at the hip with clubface being toe up. Check to see where the Swing Square is pointing. It should be pointing straight down toward the ground, just like in the back swing.
